Company History

In 1985 Ron Breske founded Variety Foods in Sioux Falls, SD. From humble beginnings Variety Foods grew its' business providing excellent customer service to foodservice accounts in and around the Sioux Falls area. Today Variety Foods provides a complete line of quality products to hundreds of satisfied customers in South Dakota, Minnesota and Iowa.

Semi-Trucks In 2007 Variety Foods was acquired by Toba Foods, of Grand Island, Nebraska, and became part of a growing family of foodservice operations that include The Thompson Co. of Grand Island, NE as well as Braunger Foods of Sioux City, IA. Together the Toba organization does business with thousands of customers across the Midwest.

Orages One unique service offered by Variety Foods is our fresh cut-to-order fruit, vegetables and cheeses. From diced onions to sliced pineapple to party trays, we process your order to your specifications. We start with the freshest produce and the finest cheeses and then we do all the prep work for you saving you valuable time and money. Our Products

Variety Foods carries a complete line of foodservice products from produce, to dairy and fresh meats to dry and frozen goods as well as disposables and smallwares. We have a complete line of sanitation and cleaning products. We also offer a complete beverage program providing juice, tea and coffee and all the dispensing equipment needed. Our service department is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week insuring your operation stays on track no matter what.

Braunger Meats

T-Bone Steak on the grill Nothing says "Quality" better than a fresh hand-cut steak and nobody does steaks better than Braungers. Our sister company in Sioux City, IA ages their beef to perfection and then hand cuts your steaks just the way you like them. We offer Choice and Select options to fit every need and application.
